Website Information Collection to Get Your Website Created

Before our designers can create your website we need some information from you.  Below is a step by step guide in how to

 

NOTE: Please make sure you have you have every thing prepared and ready before you get started with the process.  You will need:

1. A Purchased Domain Name ( www.godaddy.com  is a good site to purchase domains from)

2. 4 Banners for your slideshow (If you wish to provide your own banners, www.pixabay.com offers free images for commercial use)

3. Company Logo

4. Your Picture

5. 1-8 Community selections for your website

6. A list of your social media links (ie: facebook, twitter, linked, instagram, google+, etc)

Login to your CRM system. (Go to CRM.agentlocator.ca - Do Not go to the New Version)

As soon as you login on your home page you will see your attention is required. Click on New Order Needs Your Attention.

 

This process is just 6 easy steps,

Step 1: Contact Information

Please enter in all of your contact information.  Make sure you double check the filled out information before clicking Save & Continue.

Step 2: Domain Name

1. Enter in the domain name that you have purchased.  ie: sellingpeelregion.ca

2. Would you like AgentLocator to make the changes regarding your domain name or will you like to do it yourself?  If you want AgentLocator to make the necessary changes, please provide us with your domain name registration logins.

3. Would you like an email created with this domain name? ie info@sellingpeelregion.ca

4. Click Save & Continue

 

Do you want to make the changes yourself or have AgentLocator do it for you?

If you want AgentLocator to make the changes for you in step 2, you will be required to fill out your Registrar's name and your logins for the registrar.

If you chose that you will make the changes yourself, we will email you with the necessary DNS Information.

Do you want to create an email with your domain name?

If you would like to create a domain name that is associated with your domain name please enter it in.  For example info@sellingpeelregion.ca

You can also choose to have this new email address forwarded to an email you already use ie: I would like to forward info@sellingpeelregion.ca forwarded to ado@agentlocator.ca.

If you are unsure you can get someone at AgentLocator to contact you.

Step 3: Choose Your Template

You now get to choose between 4 template options and 5 colour options.

TIP: If you are unsure which template to choose, click on the preview button to get a better look at it.

NOTE: If you have a custom site being created, you must still one of these options just to proceed to the next step.  The option you choose, will not be used for your website. One of our website designers will be calling you directly for more information regarding your custom site.

Step 4: Upload Your Photos

Upload your Banners and Logos

You will now get to choose 4 banner pictures for your slideshow.  You can choose a maximum of 4 pictures.

NOTE:  You will be able to change these banner picture to your own unique photos later on by follow this tutorial.  Pictures must all be the same size and high resolution.   If you are unable to change the banner pictures yourself, you can also email Support with your pictures and they can update it for you as well.

Upload Your Company Logo

You now can choose to have your company logo on your website.  If your company logo is not shown below, please click on Upload My Own Logo.  Click Save and Continue at the bottom.

Step 5: Upload Your Photo

Now it is time for you to add your own picture onto your website.

If you will be adding your picture, please turn the widget on by selecting yes.  Keep in mind that if your site is supposed to be unbranded, you do not want to put up a picture of yourself here. Instead you can use the logo.

NOTE: The upload your photo may look different for you, depending on the layout option you chose.

Step 6: Communities & Social Media

Enter in at least 1 community to a maximum of 8.  Its best to choose only communities that you will be working in.

Enter in any social media links that you have

Click Save & Continue

All Finished!

After double checking all of the selections that you have made, click the red button below.

NOTE: Give our support staff 2-5 business days to create your order.  If this information is not filled out, your website CANNOT be created.

One of our support staffers will be contacting you to make sure you are not having any trouble with this information gathering process.

IF YOU ARE  NOT HAPPY WITH ANY OF THE PHOTO SELECTIONS OR PHOTOS THAT YOU UPLOAD PLEASE DO NOT WORRY, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE CHANGES VIA THE WEBSITE EDITOR.
