How to Change the Banner /Slideshow Images on my Homepage

You have the ability to change the banner photos as often as you would like.  It is a simple and fast process.  

NOTE: Make sure the banner photo sizes you are using are ALL THE SAME

NOTE #2: If you are using custom photos (photos not in our system) please make sure you have the usage rights for them.

Login to your CRM system.

Step 2: Turn on the Website Editor

Click on your Website tab and then click on your domain name in the drop down menu.

Step 3: Turn on the Widget Editor

On the right handside of the screen click on the Widget Editor

TIP: It is the bottom button and looks like 3 screws.

To make changes to the Header HomePage slideshow click on HomePage Settings.

NOTE: The Header Homepage Settings, is ONLY for the Home Page.  If you have a banner slideshow showing up on the other pages of your website, you will need to make the changes to the HeaderInnerPage Settings

Below are the different options and changes that you can make using this widget. A break down of each option is below.

Setting Option 1: Global or Just for This Page

This is generally set to just for this page due to the fact that the header homepage widget is only put on the first page (homepage) of your website.

Setting Option 2: Hide From Public View

If you want this widget to be visible on your page, please keep this setting to NO.  Otherwise, if you would like it to be hidden, switch this to YES.

Just type in the Tag Line that you would like to show up on the First Line in the Search box.

Setting Option 4: Second Tag Line

This is the line of text that is located below the Main Tag line. Please enter in the text that you would like to show up.  Please keep in mind not to make it too long.

Setting Option 5: Center Image Positioning

This allows you to move the search box up or down on the banner photos.  It is defaulted to 40%.  

NOTE: You must enter in the % sign after the number you have selected, otherwise the placement of the search box will not change.

You can change the way the banner photos slide.  The default setting is horizontal.

The HeaderHomepage Settings editor will open in the bottom of your screen. Scroll down until you find the image section.  Click on Select New Image.  

NOTE: For slideshow pictures you must start at Picture #2.  Do NOT Use slot for Picture #1

Your image gallery will now open up.  Click on Your Images.  All images you have previously uploaded will be showcased to the right.

 

If this is a new image you are adding, click Browse under the Upload New box.  The File Upload screen will now appear. Please find the picture on your computer and click the Open button.  If you are going to use an image you previously uploaded, then click on Select Image button that is beside the desired image.

You will now see that your newly uploaded image is now available to select from your image gallery.  Please click on Select Image.

If you would like your banner images to link to another page when the image is clicked.  You will need to enter in the URL link in the corresponding box.

NOTE: The image link does not have to be linked to a page on your site. You can link it to another website if you would like.

Setting Option 12 - 15: Alt Image Tags (Optional)

You can add in the Alt Image Tag for the corresponding  images in these steps.  Alt Image tags, help with SEO.  Generally you would add a in brief description of the picture and should be no more than 100 characters as per Google.

MORE INFO: Alt text is meant to be an alternative information source for those people who have chosen to disable images in their browsers and those user agents that are simply unable to “see” the images. It should describe what the image is about and get those visitors interested to see it.  Without alt text, an image will be displayed as an empty icon

This is generally useful for those who are on layout one or those clients who which to change the horizontal placement of the search box.

Make sure you click on Save & Refresh to save your changes.
