If you would like to have a pdf document on a page in your website that is downloadable / printable for your website viewers. Please follow the instructions below. There are a few steps in this process, but very easy to do.
For this example I will be adding a pdf file on a page in my Buyers drop down menu.
SAVING THE PDF TO YOUR FILE GALLERY
Now select Emails and Email Templates from the menu bar.
This step is just a suggestion, therefore you do not need to do it if you do not like.
To better organize yourself, add a New Email Template category named Website PDFs. Make sure you click ADD.
Any emails you create during this session will automatically be saved to your Website PDFs category (unless you select another category to add it to from the left side menu).
Click on New Saved Email.
Enter in the Title and Email Subject. Its recommended you Title them according to the pdf topic. Now click on the Link button.
Now all of the non image files will be viewable. If you are adding a new pdf, click the upload button.
You should now see your newly uploaded pdf file. Double click on the newly uploaded file to select it.
Now the Link setting page will be viewable again. Please copy the URL address of the pdf file. When you are done copying the URL click OK at the bottom of your page.
ADDING THE PDF TO YOUR WEBSITE
Now that the pdf is saved to your file gallery. We need to go to your website and add it to the desired page. Click on Websites and then select your domain name from the drop down menu.
Now select the Website Main page you will be adding the pdf to. For this example, we will be selecting First Time Buyers.
Now select the subpage you will be adding the pdf to.
1. ADD PDF LINK TO CONTENT / TEXT ON MY WEBPAGE.
Click anywhere in the dashed box to have the content editor visible. Now highlight the text you would like to link the pdf to.
Now you are going to paste the URL address you copied a few steps back into the URL box. Click OK when you are done.
You're all finished. You're website viewers will be able to click the word you highlighted to create the link.
2. ADD PDF LINK TO IMAGE ON YOUR WEBPAGE
If you would like to have your pdf file linked to an image on your webpage instead of text follow the instructions below.
With the content editor turned on and the content editor visible, click on the image button.
Click on Browse Server, to either find a previously uploaded picture file or to upload a new one. We will be uploading a new picture file in this example.
Make any necessary changes to the image sizing and spacing. For this example I will be changing the width to 500 px. Now click on the Link tab.
NOTE: Due to the fact that the aspect ratio lock is on, the height will update automatically.
Now paste the URL address you previously copied into the URL box. Afterwards click on the Target menu, if you would like to have the pdf file open in a new screen. If this is the case select New Window from the drop down menu and then click OK.
Turn the Content Editor off by clicking on the Content Editor Wdget on the right hand side of your screen.
You're all done!
