SEO
Updated :SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a practice of increasing the quality and quantity of traffic to the website through an organic search.
Websites hosted by Agent Locator are optimized, but there is no harm in adding an additional personal touch to it.
Since the last update to Google's algorithm, Google is more oriented towards the content of the website, and then Title tags, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords.
In this article, we will cover each of these subjects, Title tags, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, and content.
This part of the system is available through the main agent’s account and through the accounts of a website editor sub-user.
How to access the editor’s part of the website
When you log into your CRM, please follow these steps:
And just click on the URL of your website.
Each page and subpage has its own Title tags, Meta Description, Meta Keywords sections.
We will showcase where you can update Title tags, Meta Description, Meta Keywords sections on the Homepage, the most important part of your website:
Title tags
The title tag is an HTML code tag that allows you to give a web page a title. This title can be found in the browser title bar. For example, agentlocator.ca, this would be the title:
And this can be updated here:
Guidelines to follow:
- Get the most important words towards the front of the title tag.
- Do not repeat words.
- Keep it under 60 characters in length
Meta Description
A meta description is a small blurb that appears underneath your website on the search engine that includes information about your page. It is designed to provide users with a brief summary of the content on your page so that users know if the page will answer their questions.
For example, if you google any website, this would be the meta description:
The standard maximum meta description length was 165 characters; now Google is showing an average of 320 characters for some of the results.
But to be on the safe side, make sure to include the most important info in the first 165 characters, as that will probably be included on the google search results.
Meta Keywords
Meta Keywords are a specific type of meta tag that appear in the HTML code of a Web page and help tell search engines what the topic of the page is.
They are visible to search engines only.
This is the section that you can update them on your website:
These are simple search phrases that the end-user is most likely to use to browse the net.
They should be anywhere between 1 or 2 words, up to 3 to 5. Keywords are less likely to be more than 5 words.

Content
Content is the most important portion of your website, and search engines will be focused more on the content than anything else.
The best way to improve your website is through content writing and adding blogs to the website.
Here is how you can do it:
Focus on the area of your expertise, for example, you know communities, write about that, what is great about those communities, but do not exclude the bad as well.
What you should never do is copy something from the websites of other people.
Google is strict regarding that and can remove your website altogether from the search.
We do provide content writing, and here is more on this subject:

We do not have a sitemap on the new platform.

We do have this on our websites, as we have a "breadcrumb" system, where each page is linked and they are all related to the homepage:
