How to Log In Using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Updated :

Why use this?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account, ensuring that your data remains safe and protected from unauthorized access, even if someone learns your password.

Every time you log into your account from a new account, you will be required to verify your identity using a temporary 4-digit verification code.

Step 1: Enter your credentials

Navigate to the login page, enter your username and password, and click Log In.

Step 2: Retrieve your verification code

Check your primary delivery channel for your 4-digit code. By default, this code expires 5 minutes after it is generated.

  • Email (Default): Check the inbox of the email address associated with your username. You will receive an automated email containing your security code.

  • SMS (If enabled): If you have previously set up SMS authentication in your settings, the code will be texted directly to your configured phone number instead.

Step 3: Enter the code on the verification page

Go back to the login screen, which will now display a verification prompt.

If your code was sent via email, the page will display: "To help keep your account safer we enforced Email Two-Factor Authentication. To continue, please enter 4-digit code sent to email."

Type the 4-digit code into the field and click Verify.

Managing Your 2FA Preferences
You can choose to receive your 2FA codes via SMS text message instead of email by updating your account settings.

Step 1: Navigate to preferences
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select User Preferences.

Step 2: Enable the SMS channel
Locate the Two-Factor Authentication section.

Step 3: Configure your phone number
Toggle the SMS option to On, enter your target phone number, and save your changes.
